Once again, the Hollyburn Country Club’s Bridal Party does not disappoint! Our second year at the intimate event, we mixed and mingled with 2012 and 2013 brides over glasses of wine and delectable canapés. It was so nice to spend some one-on-one time with this year’s brides, and hear about all of their upcoming wedding plans – bridesmaids dresses, venues, colour palettes… What better way to pick up on this year’s trends than from the brides themselves!
Even better was meeting some of our Davie & Chiyo fans in person. Being mostly online, rarely do we get to meet our fans and customers in person, so it was a nice surprise when a few came up to the booth saying that they came to the Bridal Party because of our event posting. Definitely feeling the love!
And for the icing on the cake – Alexandra Fisher from the Hollyburn Country Club was on Shaw TV’s Urban Rush repping our clutches the morning of the Bridal Party. Check out the segment, you’ll find us at the 6:05 mark!
On her fairytale prom night, Ali from Vancouver left the glass slippers at home and opted to tuck a Davie & Chiyo Flutter Clutch under her arm instead. A beautiful accent to a stunning grad dress, and a much less blistery option!
Spotted: Girl about town with Davie & Chiyo clutch in hand.
Yours truly made it to the virtual pages of Vancouver’s own fashion and shopping blog, The Style Spy, toting none other than my very own Shabby Chic Leather Clutch. The interview covers pretty much the A-to-Z on my personal style – what’s in my purse, my weekend wardrobe, beauty must-haves and even my guiltiest pleasures… (Don’t make fun!)
The Vancouver-based blog, which has recently expanded into Toronto, features local contributors with news on the latest and greatest when it comes to shopping in Canada. As much as I love to read European and American fashion blogs, it’s always a little disheartening to find out that that perfect piece just isn’t available in Canada. As a regular reader of The Style Spy I can browse without a looming sense of disappointment, knowing that every covetable piece or up-and-coming boutique is just on my doorstep.

Calling all Vancouverites!
Davie & Chiyo has officially found a new home at Fine Finds in Yaletown, Vancouver’s lavish boutique and eatery district. Fine Finds has always been a must-see (and must-have) when I’m shopping for a new season or just on the hunt for a new accessory. The exposed-brick boutique features local designers, cute trinkets and an endless array of covetable pieces, and is a definitely a staple for the style savvy and fashion driven.
We’re part of the boutique’s new “Weddings and Milestones” department, which they just debuted this past January. You’ll be able to find all of those finishing touches for the wedding of your dreams and daydreams – delicate veils, memorable wedding gifts and favors, and above all, the perfect accessories.
So if browsing our virtual shop isn’t enough for you, be sure to pop into Fine Finds to see, touch (and smell?) a D&C clutch of your very own.

A little love from across the pond.
Lorena, owner of Lorena Rossi (a whimsical and unique invitation, stationary and gift shop based in Montreal, Quebec), recently blogged about one of her favourite local spots, Café Italia. She talks about going to this coffee shop to begin her day with an espresso, and lo and behold, in her hand the perfect coffee shop carry-all, a D&C clutch.
