Now that we’re almost at the last of our teeth-rotting sweets, those tangled costume wigs are being put back in storage and ghoulish jack-o’-lanterns are melting and molding into piles of mush, I can officially begin my countdown to…

THE CIRCLE CRAFT CHRISTMAS FAIR!

“What?! It’s too soon!” you exclaim.

Not at all! I have to admit that I am a bit of a Christmas fiend (it’s the only thing that gets me through these damp Vancouver winters) but I’m not alone. Everywhere you look, a little red and green is popping up. Starbucks is just about ready to get out those jolly red coffee cups, Holt Renfrew has already debuted it’s glittery Christmas display, and you have to admit that you’re starting to get that warm, fuzzing feeling… Okay, okay, so I’m laying it on a little thick but you really can’t fight it, the season is upon us!

And what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with Vancouver’s annual Circle Craft Christmas Fair. If you’ve never heard of it (you must not be from Vancouver), it’s the event of the season and a great way to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. The fair is known as a showcase for specially selected vendors from across Canada who sell unique, one-of-a-kind and handmade pieces. You can find a gift for any taste, from gourmet wine jellies to hand-milled soaps, as well as elegant handmade clutches 🙂
